This ring is handmade of a natural Australian Boulder Opal stone which was bezel set in a 22k yellow Gold bezel. The bezel was soldered to a thick backing of 1.2 millimters, which was attached by soldering to a carved silver shank which I designed and hadmade in advance.

Opal is the birthstone for those of us who were born in October or under the signs of Scorpio and Libra. But it certainly is a beautifying stone for everyone who wears it!
